Why Art-Based Learning Works
Creative engagement activates the right brain and helps regulate the amygdala — the part of the brain associated with stress and anxiety. Working with colour, shape, and abstract imagery supports emotional regulation, lowers cortisol, and shifts the brain from constant analysis into a calmer, more reflective state.
In as little as 45 minutes, creative activity has been shown to reduce stress levels for most participants, regardless of artistic experience. This isn’t about painting — it’s about wellbeing, resilience, and creative thinking as life skills.

With over 20 years of experience in HR, education, wellness, and the arts, Nancy creates engaging, supportive spaces that help participants reconnect with themselves, their teams, and their creative spirit. Her guided sessions are designed to reduce stress, foster emotional balance, and build engagement — all through accessible, process-based art experiences.
Nancy is also available for Lunch & Learn sessions, workplace creativity challenges, and team-focused workshops — customizable programs for organizations, retreats, and community groups.
