ARTIST RESIDENCY & PERMANENT COLLECTION
Kortright Centre for Conservation | 2019
Artist in Residence
During her residency at the Kortright Centre for Conservation, Nancy created a body of work inspired by local wildlife and natural environments.
The residency included:
- Creating photography and encaustic works inspired by the site’s heronry and surrounding landscape
- Leading photography forest walks
- Facilitating nature-based creative workshops
- Engaging visitors through demonstrations and discussions about photography and artistic process
Permanent Collection
Six works created during the residency were donated to and became part of the Kortright Centre for Conservation Gallery’s permanent collection.

A CONTINUING PRACTICE
Nancy’s exhibition work continues to explore the relationship between photography, nature, observation and mixed-media art.
Her ongoing collections draw inspiration from wildlife and the natural world, transforming photographic observations into layered works that combine image, gesture, texture and material.
